Pilates Ab Crunch


Many people complain about low back pain. Although this can be the symptom of a medical problem, most often it is due to weak abdominal muscles, poor posture, or injury. Pilates method is a graduated movement system that strengthens the core muscles and improves flexibility and posture. It is frequently used for physical therapy and rehabilitation.

In this video, Caitlin demonstrates a Pilates ab crunch, focusing on engaging integral abdominal muscles, positioning of the navel, lower back and shoulders, and supporting the neck.

She recommends starting with one set of 10 crunches on each side and working your way up to three sets 2-3 times per week.
